93MGMT is working with an established private markets investment manager seeking an experienced Fund Controller to join its London team on a permanent basis.

The role offers a combination of portfolio monitoring, fund valuations and core fund control responsibilities, with close exposure to the investment process.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys working beyond traditional fund accounting, combining technical expertise with performance analysis, stakeholder engagement and ongoing process improvement.

    The role

    • Take ownership of portfolio monitoring, financial analysis and performance reporting
    • Review quarterly fund valuations, working closely with investment teams
    • Oversee NAV calculations, capital accounts and financial reporting
    • Manage capital calls, distributions and associated fund cash flows
    • Coordinate with external fund administrators, auditors and advisers
    • Support periodic financial reporting and audit processes
    • Maintain strong financial controls, improve reporting processes and ensure data accuracy
    • Work closely with internal stakeholders across finance and investment functions

    Who we’re looking for

    • ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualified accountant with 4+ years’ post-qualification experience
    • Experience within private equity, fund control, fund administration or a related private markets environment
    • Strong financial reporting, analytical and organisational skills
    • Comfortable working with portfolio financial information, valuations and fund structures
    • Confident communicating with senior stakeholders and external service providers
    • Able to take ownership and operate effectively in a hands-on environment

Prior experience within an investment manager would be beneficial, although candidates from relevant fund administration and audit backgrounds will also be considered.

The attraction is the breadth of the role. Alongside traditional fund control responsibilities, you’ll gain meaningful exposure to portfolio performance, investment valuations and the wider investment process, with the opportunity to develop your expertise over the longer term.
